In this episode, Angeza is joined by Sam Thiara who shares how he believed in himself, persevered to achieve his dreams and how he motivates and mentors hundreds of people everyday to be authentic and do what brings them the most joy!
Sam Thiara is a professional who has created a personal journey as a coach, speaker, author, workshop facilitator, educator and entrepreneur. Over the last 25 years, he has worked with 45+ non-profit organizations and as a result, received the Canadian Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal from the Governor General of Canada.
He has spent many years in academic administration and teaching at post-secondary institutions and has supported individuals and organizations through keynote addresses and workshops. Whether it is an academic institutions, organizations or non-profits, Sam has developed engaging content as an accomplished speaker and TEDx presenter. This has led him to mentor and coach hundreds of young people in life and career.
Sam has authored two books one is about personal storytelling and his recent book is about his travel adventure to India to seek his ancestral roots with just a photograph and very little else and in the process, find himself. The book is called, Lost and Found: Seeking the Past and Finding Myself.
Sam has his MA in leadership studies, as well as his higher education teaching certificate from Harvard University, life coaching certificate from Cambridge University and adult education certification from Vancouver Community College.
